Villa Cuturi stands on the seafront promenade, a historic building constructed between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Villa Doria and Hotel Italia are part of the Liberty and Art Deco architecture that can still be seen today. The term Liberty refers to the Italian variant of Art Nouveau; Art Deco is a more strongly geometric style. Both represent an architectural heritage preserved from Marina di Massa’s aristocratic era as a fashionable seaside and holiday resort.
