Farnetella – between olive groves, vineyards and ancient paths

Farnetella lies on a hill with numerous olive groves and vineyards. The village combines a clearly defined landscape with traces of its history, paths through woodland and hilly terrain, and festival traditions that are directly reflected in the appearance of the village. This creates a destination that is not defined by a single attraction, but by several short themes: landscape, former settlement, fortification, religious sites and the Infiorata.

Landscape and the origins of the village

The original settlement of Farnetella was located on the Castelvecchio hill above the present-day village. This historical connection is particularly vivid along the Castelvecchio path: it leads over the old hill where Farnetella stood until around 1295.
