The 2011Versiliana festival brings together stars of Italian and world show business.

The festival of Versiliana is held in the town of Marina di Pietrasanta located in Tuscany, Italy. It lasts for two months from July, 1 till August, 31. The program of the 32nd festival traditionally includes drama performances, dances, musical show, as well as café meetings, entertaining events, and exhibitions.

It looks like the musical program appeals to most of the visitors. It opens up on July, 20 with the concert of famous Yugoslavian, as he claims himself to be, singer, performer and composer Goran Bregovic accompanied by “The Wedding and Funeral Band”. Italian star Daniele Silvestri performs on July, 23.

The performance of Elio in Gian Burrasca, an eccentric actor and singer, takes place on the 1st of August. On the 2nd of August the eccentric atmosphere will be caught up by the duet «Igudesman & Joo». The best Italian jazzman Stefano Bollani with the quartet “Visionari” perform on August, 9. The performance of famous pop music singer Ornella Vanoni takes place on the 11th of August. And Roberto Vecchioni honored with most prestigious Italian awards gives a concert on the 18th of August.

The drama season opens up on the 8th of July. Director Giorgio Strehler stages the story of Harlequin with Ferruccio Soleri as the main character. He has been the top performer of this character for the last 50 years. Director Gabriele Lavia performs “The Robbers” by Schiller.

The dance program of the festival includes “Carmen” by Antonio Gades and Carlos Saura, and the concert of ballet dancer Svetlana Zaharova.
All in all, a total of 25 various events will take place while the Versiliana festival of 2011.
