The reading room is accessible at any time for study and quiet reflection. Opening hours for borrowing and consultation vary seasonally. The Istituto also organizes Buddhist retreats lasting from a single weekend to one month.

The Sagra del Popone focuses on traditional Tuscan dishes such as tagliatelle with wild boar, vegetable soup, and salt cod.

The nearest railway station to Pomaia is Rosignano, which can be reached by regional trains. Faster trains stop in Cecina, around 20 kilometers away. After an ascent of around 7 kilometers, it passes through Pomaia and continues to Pastina, which is reached after 20.5 kilometers.
