Thermal and Mineral Waters of Tuscany

Tuscan soil is rich in thermal and mineral waters. Their curable features have been valued since the times of the Etruscans and the Romans. Saturnia in the province of Grosseto, Montecatini in the province of Pisoia, and Chianciano Terme in Siena are the most famous water resorts in Tuscany.

Saturnia sulfury waters come from an extinct volcanic crater and have the temperature of 37,5°C. According to the legend, the source took its beginning from the place where enraged god Saturn stroke with lightning. The spring helps people with skin diseases, musculoskeletal system problems, digestion and breathing illnesses. Even children may swim in the waters of the crater. There are two options to enjoy Saturnia springs. Mill waterfalls are for those who love wild rest. One of the largest Tuscan resorts ,Chianciano Terme, has got more than 250 hotels. “Centro Benessere SPA Deus” is one of them. This hotel was built for NASA cosmonauts, and now it welcomes everyone.
