The See Resorts in Tuscany

Tuscan coast spreads for more than 500 kilometers totally. The chain of Versilia resorts is about 30 kilometers at length and is situated on the border of the Ligurian and the Tyrrhenian sea. Versilian climate is the best for sea recreation. The white marble rocks detain the warm air which comes from the sea and also protect sandy beaches and flora of the surrounding groves and pine forests.

Versilia presents wide range of possibilities for different kinds of rest. You can simply lie on a beach or go sea fishing, have fun at a local disco bar, take a yacht tour, go for downhill skiing and finally visit Puccini museum. Many restaurants and bars will regale you with very healthy Mediterranean food. Wide and well facilitated Versilian beaches spread for several kilometers. They are joined with a single road which lies closely. Along with that the beaches are very tidy and ecologists proved that with the awards of Forte dei Marmi, Pietrasanta and Viareggio.

Veraslian resorts Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore, Marina di Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, Marina di Massa and many others don’t have distinct border. Still each of them has its own peculiarities.

Viareggio is the most famous resort. It’s popular not only for the carnival but also for well developed infrastructure and attracts rich people. There are seven four star hotels in the streets of the resort, fashionable boutiques and shops. The seafront is the place of hundreds of bars, cafes and small restaurants. Huge Park next to via Michelangelo Buonarotti welcomes the amateurs of sport and offers to visit tennis courts, bikeways and golf pitch. The villa of Napoleon’s sister who helped him to escape from the Elba Island is among the sights of the city.

Fine Forte dei Marmi is the center of the high life. Italian celebrities prefer to spend time here. Singers, painters, artists, sportsmen, businessmen and representatives of the noble families may chose any of the three fife star hotels and sixteen four star hotels. Some people prefer living in a gorgeous villa covered with the shadow of the palms and rattler trees. Spending a holiday in Forte dei Marmi is not a cheap thing but it is worth it. Here everything is surrounded by the atmosphere of luxury and delicate taste. Lido di Camaiore is another resort which is more moderate than Forte dei Marmi.

Castiglioncello is a small town which is situated to the South of Livorno. It hasn’t been very crowded lately. In the middle of the previous century Castiglioncello was on the peak of its popularity. The fame has gone but the magnificence and tidiness of the local bays has remained. Resorts in Livorno are cheaper compared to Versalian elite seaside but the infrastructure is not less developed. Cafes and restaurants, clubs and discos, sports grounds for tennis, horse riding, mountain biking, mini golf, sailing, surfing are at your disposal. There are many small towns at the seaside of Livorno: Marina di Cecina, Marina di Bibbona, Marina Castagneto Carducci, Piombino and others. Tourists can take the pleasure not only of the natural beauty of Livorno but also visit modern medical facilities which present spa, thalassotherapy and other procedures for well being.

Punta Ala is an exclusive resort which is famous for its yacht club. The seaside of the city is divided into several well facilitated beaches. Punta Ala is considered to be the best place for swimming in Tuscany.

Laguna Orbetello and wild beaches in Maremma are to the South. Some of the beaches are nature-oriented zone thus the access to them sometimes is closed.

Many places on the Elba Island like Porto Azzurro, Rio Marina, Capiloveri, Cavo Marciana, Marciana Marina, Marina di Campo are typical Mediterranean resorts which attract with atmosphere of joy, sea cuisine, famous rough wines and individual architecture.
