The province of Prato

Prato is the smallest province of the region. Yet, its capital of the same name is the second largest city in Tuscany. Besides, Prato is the youngest province as it became a separate administrative unit only in the year of 1993.

Prato has been developing as an industrial area since the Middle Ages. Nowadays, the city produces famous textile and woolen fabrics of the highest quality. The production is of great help to many famous designers all over the world. The fabrics and goods made of them make the city one of the most popular shopping centers. Yet, the city of Prato attracts not only by the stores, but also by its cultural sites.

Unlike its neighbor provinces, Prato isn't crowded with numerous tourists, so you can take advantage of Tuscan natural beauty and cultural sites, and spend a vacation in quiet provincial atmosphere. You are not likely to meet any grand architectural monuments here, but towns like Cantagallo, Carmignano, Montemurlo,Vaiano and Vernio are going to charm you by their unique atmosphere anyway.

Tarot Garden
The Tarot garden as a work of art is a combination of landscape design, sculpture and architecture. The garden is located on the southern slope of the Garavicchio hill in the Tuscan Maremma, a few kilometers away from the town of Capalbio. Versiliana
The festival of Versiliana is held in the town of Marina di Pietrasanta located in Tuscany, Italy. It lasts for two months from July, 1 till August, 31.
